Man alive! I started out as a very poor Texas Hold’em player. I didn’t have the right attitude, discipline nor did I have the mentality. I didn’t know any Texas Holdem tips, strategies, or techniques. Heck I didn’t even know what odds were!

But I did have the desire. I absolutely loved Texas Hold’em poker and I wanted to play it for a living. After getting my butt kicked a few too many times I decided to step back and reevaluate what I was doing wrong and how I could improve.

My biggest problem was I would start out great and then get board and start playing poor hands. I never played the right starting hands. How could I? I had no idea there is a right way and a wrong way to play every starting hand in texas holdem poker.

And then of course I would start to lose pots. My stack would dwindle and I would end up out of the game and pissed off. Then of course I would jump into another no limit or sit-n-go tournament right away, on tilt, and get my ass kicked again!

I consider myself to be a relatively smart person. I have an MBA. I make six figure incomes. And I married a babe! I must be doing something right.

But I kept losing at poker. No matter what game I play; no limit tournaments, sit-n-go tournaments and ring games.
